Personal Dev
- My game projects keep falling apart, I think for a few reasons: a lack of planning, scope creep, and too much time spent building the same systems over and over. I'm going to try and fix all three this summer by (1) limiting my projects to game jams, and (2) consolidating those systems into scaffolds. I've got the scaffolds in a usable place, so I'm thinking I'll take a break until Godot Wild Jam #95 starts next week.

- Finished reading The Fifth Season. The modern register in fantasy is something I tend to bounce off of, but I enjoyed this despite it.
- Went to see a 4K restoration of The Thing at the Trylon theater. Such a fun movie, especially with an audience.
Picked up a bunch of different games during the steam summer sale:

Love the idea of a game like this, but it's a bit too intricate for me.

I don't appreciate soul-likes enough to truly get into this. Still, easily worth the $5 .

Punishing, but I've only been playing solo so far. Looks like it would be fun with a group.

I'm having a lot of fun playing this. Looks fantastic, and has a great retro feel. Combat does feel a little underwhelming, but this is an incredible achievement.

This gave me the push I needed to finally automate some of this stuff. Spent 15 minutes max on this, wish I would have done it sooner.
